We helped Rødde Folkehøgskole develop a new and modern website that both strengthens the brand and makes it easier for young people to find relevant information. The goal was to create a solution that is easy to use, hits the target audience visually and holds interest. Through a structured design process, clear content prioritization and good collaboration, we put in place a functional and inspiring website that is now actively used in the school's recruitment efforts.
A new website to strengthen first impressions and attract more applicants
Rødde Folkehøgskole needed a new website that better mirrored who they are, and that could engage and inform youth considering folk high school. The old page was uninspiring, lacked clear structure and did not give the user a good overview of lines, environment or life at school. What we created therefore had to both hit the target audience visually and at the same time provide enough information for people to stay and click further.
We worked strategically with user patterns and content structure, so that the new website should make it easy to find what you're wondering, while making it feel easy and inspiring to explore. The goal was to keep users engaged long enough for them to actually consider searching—and provide a visual and practical first impression that builds trust and curiosity.
A structured project from idea to prototype
This was one of our largest and most comprehensive school projects. We worked thoroughly with everything from structure and content prioritization to wireframes and testing of early prototypes. With many lines, information surfaces and audiences, it was important to be in control all the way and make sure nothing fell between the chairs.
Using Figma to create clickable prototypes, we tested ideas before development. It gave both us and the customer clear insight into what worked and what needed to be adjusted. This process allowed us to work efficiently, while maintaining high quality from start to launch.
A result that makes an impact — and more applicants
The new website of Rødde is both visually clear and functional. The school now appears more modern, structured and accommodating — just the way they actually are. We were able to accommodate both line information, student stories, photos and articles without it feeling overwhelming or cluttered.
After launch, Rødde Folkehøgskole has experienced increased traffic, longer visiting hours and more applicants. The website has become an important tool in recruitment efforts, and we are proud to have contributed to a digital boost that is actually felt in practice.
A clearer first impression and a website that engages
The collaboration with Rødde Folkehøgskole was about renewing an outdated website and developing a solution that hits the target audience better, both visually and functionally. We wanted to create an experience that inspires youth to explore the line offering and at the same time makes it easy to find practical information. Through good structure, clear messages and rich content, we built a platform that strengthens the school's digital presence and recruitment efforts.
This was a project characterized by close cooperation, clear goals and good drive. We worked on everything from content strategy and prototypes to design, development and photography. The result is a holistic solution that combines the visual and the functional — and that has already led to increased traffic, longer visits and more applicants for the school.
